Trading the SPY & E-minis Using:

'EXCALIBUR PRIME'

NOTE: All charts are for illustrative purposes only. They show where trading signals would theoretically occur using a particular trading method. These are hypothetical trades only that show timing potential for each method for comparative purposes and are shown for their educational content only and not as advisories or recommendations.

'Excalibur Prime: The Sword of Price', I'll be posting some current intraday charts for various markets here over the coming weeks so that our readers can come to appreciate the capabilities of this unique approach to analyzing the markets.

Note how the SPY had some beautiful trading opportunities during the day. These weren't just 'in and out' quickies either. You could have positioned shortly after noon-time and exited 2-hours later for a handsome profit of over 30 points or $750 for an e-mini contract.

This was followed by one more BUY opportunity (it is a Rising Market!), around 2:30 P.M.. This is a little late in the trading day, but, never-the-less, this signal provided another 10 points ($250 in e-mini) in profit potential before the market Close.

Collectively, this was a $1,000 usd opportunity day for the e-mini trader and a $5,000 day for the SPY trader. Pretty Sweet, I'd say, and, for only a few hours time and minimal effort.

Staying With The Major Stock Market Trend

I've been pointing out that the Stock Market wasn't dead for a long time now on this website. In fact, I've been almost alone in my predictions that this Market was going to keep on rising in spite of all the negative press trying to talk the average investors out of the markets by spreading 'fear'.

Unfortunately, fear works on the majority of average investors. Outside negative opinions about the markets, combined with the natural fear of loss, are just too much for most traders to cope with it seems and, renders them helpless observers to what has become the Greatest Bull Market in History.

The sad Truth? Most have missed ALL of it and, the biggest hold-back has been fear. It hangs on like a piece of velcro unless it is ripped away by logic in the form of an understanding of the markets that's solidly based on mathematical & psychological truths that will never waver. Having a solid trading method that embodies both aspects will provide the emotional part of the equation and remove fear as an obstacle to one's trading success.

The chart above is an example of two things at work; first, waiting for a signal that aligns with the Major Trend in the Stock Market (which is strongly Bullish) and, secondly, using a Solid Trading Method (in this case, 'Fibonacci Trends'), to give us the shove in the right direction all while knowing that the odds are now heavily in our favor for the Trade that we're entering.

I've never been one for following crowds.

It just didn't work out in the long run.

From my observations & experience, Success seemed to travel a different pathway from the paved highway that everyone else seemed to think was the 'road to success'.

The 'crowd' just seemed to hold a particularly consistent and wrong position when it came to trends and fears. W.D. Gann knew this & took the 'Path Less Traveled' in his trading career too.

I suspect you've come to similar conclusions. Especially as you've come to this website and are visiting the posts that have been posted here now for many years.
If you're a long-time guest to this website, then you've seen how we've (collectively) found excellent turns in market trends time and time again, in market after market, both intra-day and long-term.

You also know by now that the source of these uncanny market calls are our trading methods and discoveries made over the last almost 50-Years, much of it derived from Master Trader W.D. Gann himself.

Mr. Gann was our starting point and he had such a deep, profound understanding of the Markets, Numbers and Time, that he has remained a guiding light through the whole journey to this day.

I credit him and his published & private works with providing me the inspiration to keep on keeping on over these many trying years and decades.

Even when I couldn't seem to pull the threads of his knowledge together; Time and Persistence were the ultimate cure which always led on to greater depths of understanding.

Eventually, the work accumulated and became a large collection of publications which I've shared with just a few traders over these past few years.

Reading & Acting On The Major Trends . . .

We see further proof above of the deflationary aspect to Commodities in general.

As we mentioned in our earlier posts, there has been an overall decline in prices for most commodities.

A more important point however, is, could we have seen this important trend coming? . . .

That answer is . . . . Yes. In fact, let's look at the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (S&P GSCI) chart shown above and take note of that gold-colored circle we find just after the very top in the Index.

This is the exact price area where one of our clients who is using 'The Fibonacci Trends' Trading Technique could have detected the shift in price trend for commodities in general (as represented by this index).

This was early enough to take appropriate short positions in the select commodities measured by this index. The S&P GSCI is one of the most closely watched indexes in the Market and tracks the price activity in 24-commodity futures.

Where Two Strong Currencies Combine . . .

YOU'LL FIND OPPORTUNITY!

In our previous posts, we found that the US and Brazilian Economies were two STRONG Economies for

2018. We know that the US Dollar has been Strong, but, when we COMBINE the US Dollar (USD) with the Brazilian Real (BRL) or the USD/BRL, it becomes 'magical' (and profitable!).

The chart for the USD/BRL is shown above. Healthy gains have been realized even within the last month and, over 20% for the Year. The chart also shows where our 'Fibonacci Trends' Trading Method would have indicated the recent shift upwards after the re-tracement from September price highs.

What makes most of the world's currency investors turn negative or 'gun shy' are when they become accustomed to only the few major choices provided by most banks and brokerages.

Opportunities exist elsewhere with other currency pairs and, one should have a forex broker that can provide a larger choice of those opportunities. Preferably, you'll find a broker that can give you access to other markets as well (like CFDs on stocks, commodities, etc.). I'll have a suggested one for you in future posts pending further investigation.

An Excellent Trading Method (or three) and, a good Broker. That makes for a winning ticket!

20% Gains like those that took place this year in the US Dollar vs. Brazilian Real truly stand out when compared with losses almost everywhere else this past year.
